Social butterfly

This walking stick was carved from a branch of a sycamore tree. The butterfly is made from the same wood and attached to the nose with a metal pin and epoxy resin.

Dust bowl

I created more sawdust than bowl with this project. It's carved from a large piece of cypress that a neighbor gave me. It can be used as a bowl, boat or bathtub.

Now serving

This bowl was made from an oak burl, I kept the bark on the outside because I like the color and texture. The grain pattern inside the bowl is very nice.

Cold blooded carvings

I made these walking sticks awhile back, they are both carved from dogwood.

Hey whittle whittle

This ornament was carved from cherry wood, for friends of ours who operate a dairy farm.

Walking whale no fluke

This walking stick is from a sycamore tree that lost many limbs in a recent storm. The last photo shows the stick standing next to that tree.

Emma and Henry

Emma and Henry are enjoying our very early spring this year.

Aging well

This carving gets better looking every year, I wish I could say that about myself.
